It is far too easy to get caught up in the pressures of the ‘day job’, family, and all our other commitments and neglect opportunities for personal and professional development.

However, taking time out to attend conferences and events is a very worthwhile investment. We are fortunate in agriculture to have some really high-quality events on offer, providing learning and networking opportunities that can positively impact your personal and professional life.

We have seen enormous value from attending the Cultivate conference in previous years, so were delighted to be asked to be a supporting partner for the 2024 conference. Helping individuals and businesses to succeed and cultivate excellence is part of our mission at Cultura Connect so this event is the perfect fit for us. Cultivate is the only growth summit event in the UK to focus solely on the rural and agricultural industry. If you’ve contemplated coming along in previous years but haven’t yet committed it to your 2024 calendar (it’s Wednesday 1st May, by the way), here are our reasons why we think you should:

Networking opportunities: Conferences bring together like-minded individuals from different backgrounds providing the opportunity to connect with other rural professionals and entrepreneurs you might not otherwise meet. Cultivate, in particular, appeals to forward-thinking, innovative people who want to learn, be challenged and do things differently. Is that you?

Learning: Rather than dipping into lots of topics Cultivate offers more of a ‘deep dive’ with three keynote speakers. This year’s schedule includes human behaviour and performance expert Paul McGee, Tom Warner of Warner’s Gin and Samantha Kinghorn, paralympic medallist and TV presenter. Could their insights help broaden your perspective, inspire you and spark new ideas?

Professional Development: Attending events like Cultivate is a valuable form of professional development and demonstrates commitment to continuous learning. It helps expand your knowledge, understanding and professional network.

Personal Growth: It can contribute to personal growth too. Stepping out of your comfort zone, engaging with diverse perspectives, and joining in discussions can help develop confidence and interpersonal skills.

Be inspired: Hearing success stories or anecdotes that pique your interest and making new contacts can be powerful motivators. Who knows what ideas you could take back to your own business or workplace?

Making time to go along to industry events and conferences is an investment in yourself and your future. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, Cultivate is a unique opportunity and I highly recommend you visit cultivateconference.co.uk now to book a ticket.

Your future self will thank you!
