Katie's roots run deep in agriculture, having grown up on a 280-cow dairy farm in Staffordshire. Katie is married to an arable farmer from Berkshire, together, they now tenant farm 720 acres and contract farm an additional 1,200 acres, cultivating a diverse range of crops including wheat, barley, oats, beans, and maize.
In 2004, Katie ventured into the corporate world, launching her professional recruitment career. This experience equipped her with valuable skills in talent acquisition and management. However, the call of her agricultural heritage remained strong, eventually guiding her back to her farming roots.
Today, Katie applies her unique blend of corporate acumen and agricultural expertise to the farming recruitment sector. Her firsthand experience in farming, coupled with her professional background, allows her to serve an industry for which she holds both deep admiration and comprehensive understanding.
Katie's commitment to the agricultural community extends beyond her professional life. As an active committee member for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) charity in Berkshire, she gains valuable insight into the challenges faced by those in the farming industry. This involvement nurtures her empathy and informs her approach to her work.
With her feet firmly planted in both the corporate and agricultural worlds, Katie brings a distinctive perspective to her role. She combines professional recruitment expertise with a genuine understanding of the farming lifestyle and its demands, making her a valuable asset to the Cultura Connect team.
